This site was created for food lovers, food writers, food critics, chefs, cooks and anyone that knows anything that is not commonly known about food. It is for those that know something that we all know, but say it differently. You will not always find recipes here, but when you do, rejoice because it would have been tried and tested and be a rare and special gem. With time a recipe index will be added with a special section for recipes that come from sources for which we can vouch. I will usually start right at the beginning
I have changed it’s direction so often that I cannot say what will happen to it and it will be guided by food.
I have no formal food qualifications and mistakenly pursued other directions for twenty years, but whilst spending every waking moment that I was not involved with my children, cooking, tasting, traveling, eating and reading about food. I guess it was an obsession, is an obsession and will always be one.
All I want to do is cook, read about food, learn about food and wallow in knowledge, product and books wherever I can find it.
So, thanks to the millions of people all over the world that have taught me and guided me. Thanks to my friends for bearing with me and for employers that often turned a blind eye when they didn’t have to.
